PGDIT / PGDM (IT) 2-Year Full Time Programme (Approved by AICTE)
 
This programme is a useful professional course since every area of industry now demands knowledge of information processing, and managers with IT / Computer knowledge are more effective and efficient in decision making process for achieving the company's financial targets and meeting the specific objectives of the organization well in time.

This programme will provide managerial and computing skills to a student to prepare him / her management-orient IT professional for working in an industry or running his / her own business. This course will provide management software application skills together with computing software application skills and software building skills.

PGDIT ( Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology) or PGDBA (IT) ( Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with specialization in Information Technology ) is a two-year full-time Programme divided into four Semesters as follows :

 
Semester - I

BA 1.1 Programming & Problem Solving Using C.
BA 1.2 Discrete Mathematics & Computer Organization.
BA 1.3 : Principles of Management & Communication
BA 1.4 : Management Information System
BA 1.5 : Linux & Shell Programming
BA 1.6 : Elements of Financial & Accounting Management
BA 1.7 : Elements of Marketing Management
BA 1.8 : Managerial Economics & Forecasting Methods
BA 1.9 : Software Applications in Service Industry (At least three industries to be taken up like Railways, Hospital, Mobile Telephone Service etc.)

Note : There will be software/Language based computer practical of 200 marks to be assigned by the faculty

Semester - II

BA 2.1 : Computer System Architecture Using C
BA 2.2 : Data Structure & Algorithm Design Using C++
BA 2.3 : Operating Systems
BA 2.4 : System Analysis & Design
BA 2.5 : Computer Graphic & Animation
BA 2.6 : Computerization of optimization techniques & application in business
BA 2.7 : Web Technology
BA 2.8 : Cyber Laws
BA 2.9 : Programming Using Java

Semester - III

BA 3.1 : Data Communication & Networks
BA 3.2 : Programming Using VB. Net

BA 3.6 : Global Business Environment
BA 3.7 : Strategic Management & Global Marketing

Semester - IV

The fourth Semester will conform to internship programme for giving practical experience in the industry to the students by working on a project to be given by the industry / in - house related to applications of Software or other project work as assigned. Duration of the internship will be six months.

The students will have to write a Project Report at the end of the internship and appear for the Viva - voce Exam before a Panel of Examiners.

Total Credit Associated = 900 Marks
(500 marks for writing project report & 400 marks for viva voce)
